Flip It Card Templates...You asked for it...

Recently, one of my blog donors asked if I could make a circle "flip it" card cutting file. She has been so kind to donate as several of you have. In honor of the kindness and generosity several of you have shown I made these in the spirit of giving.Another great big thanks to those of you whom donate and make it possible for me to freely share.

The circle flip it card is similar to the Sizzix die.One of the many great thing about the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software is to be able to design and create our own cutting files. This is my rendition of a circle flip it card but, I couldn't stop there.....lol. I've also created what I call a shape flip it card.

Last night I kept myself busy designing and test cutting both of these files. When I  make and test cut files, I usually don't place a whole lot of time into embellishing them. I know the ones you make will look amazing. If you get the chance to try out one or both of these cutting files, I would love to see what you did with it. Please email me a picture and I'll share it here.

Wishing Blessings to All - Debbie

The circle flip it card has two designs. One is solid and the other has a lovely lace like pattern. Both are included in this cutting file. The zipped folder is in .svg, .dxf, and Studio format. Both designs for the circle card are pictured below. One picture shows the card closed and the other opened.

  7. Hi Debbie. I am a new sub for your blog and also for YT. I have also joined the forum, but I didnt know where to post this question. I am a paper beader and quiller and I have been looking into die cut machines and the silhouette seem to be the best suited to my needs. But I have a couple simple questions if I might, I just need to be able to cut triangles for the beads. I have watched lots of videos on YT but none seem to answer the question: "Does the software allow you to create a full page of triangles"? Also quilling requires strips as little as 1/16 of an inch in height, with the silhouette can I cut strips this height. For this type of work which machine and version of software would you recommend? Thank you so much for your time. Tammy

  8. Hi Tammy, I also quill and make paper beads. The Cameo will allow you to easily cut quilling strips. Somewhere on my blog I shared some quilled turtles I made by using the Silhouette to cut the strips and the hexagons on the turtles back. It will also fill a page of triangles. I should make a video tutorial on this. If you ever want to ask a question on the forum, there is a section called "Ask the Forum" you can post any questions you have. The group there is so wonderfully kind and helpful. Someone always comes along to help. As far as a cutting machine goes, I love, love, my Silhouette Cameo because I can finally cut on the many 12 x 12 sheets of paper I have. The software I use is the Studio Designer Edition because I love the extra things the tools can do and the ability to open all sorts of file formats.

    1. Tammy you will love your Silhouette. It is perfect for things like cutting a full page of triangles or other shapes for making beads. I had fun making beads at Christmas time. It sure saved my hands not having to cut my triangles out by hand as well as time.
